Belgian scale-up Dripl raises €4 million, with Faraday’s participation, to drive its international expansion in sustainable hydration

Madrid, 22 January, 2026 – The beverage industry has relied for decades on unhealthy products and single-use packaging. Dripl, a Belgian scale-up specialising in smart sustainable hydration solutions, aims to change this dynamic. The company has closed a €4 million funding round, led by Abacus Investments with the participation of Faraday Venture Partners, Spadel and the Meert family.

This new round will allow Dripl to accelerate its international expansion beyond the Benelux region, scale its production facility in Leuven, and continue developing its technology for waste-free smart beverage dispensers, specifically designed for corporate environments.

For Faraday Venture Partners, the investment in Dripl fits squarely with its strategy of supporting European technology companies with scalable business models, proven traction and a positive impact on sustainability and consumer habits. The company represents a new generation of B2B solutions that combine hardware, product and data to transform traditional industries.

“It is a privilege to see Dripl grow, led by two young Belgian entrepreneurs with talent, ambition and a strong dual mission: reducing plastic use and increasing wellbeing in the workplace. Their strong growth and deep commitment to their customers and purpose are attracting powerful and strategic investors to join this journey and support their European expansion,” says Gonzalo Tradacete, CEO of Faraday Venture Partners.

Based in Brussels, Dripl offers smart dispensers that provide water (still and sparkling) and sugar-free beverages with functional ingredients such as vitamins or caffeine. Its solution combines convenience, sustainability and innovation, positioning itself as a zero-waste alternative to traditional soft drinks and bottled beverages.

The company was founded in 2020 by Colin Deblonde and Lucas after identifying that flavoured beverages continued to rely almost exclusively on disposable packaging. Its first prototypes were built in a hands-on manner using reused parts from vending machines, a reuse-driven philosophy that continues to shape the project’s DNA.

Today, Dripl serves more than 500 corporate clients, including Moore, ArcelorMittal, Visma and PostNL, and has helped avoid more than 15 million single-use containers, seven million of them in 2025 alone. Its long-term ambition is bold: to eliminate 1 billion disposable packages and redefine the way people hydrate at work.

“In recent years, we have already achieved something special: building a profitable, fast-growing hardware and beverage scale-up that is helping make healthy and sustainable hydration the norm. We are building with a long-term vision, redefining how people hydrate in the workplace. That requires partners who share that ambition,” says Colin Deblonde, co-founder of Dripl.
