Bookline closes a €3.5 million Series A round
Madrid, 30 September, 2025 – Bookline, the leading startup in Artificial Intelligence agents for restaurants, hotels, and campsites, has announced the closing of a €3.5 million Series A funding round aimed at accelerating its international expansion across Southern Europe and Latin America, as well as driving the development of new products designed to boost profitability in the hospitality sector.
The round was led by ICF Capital, together with Sabadell Venture Capital - the venture capital division of Banco Sabadell—and Faraday Venture Partners, who bring extensive experience in supporting high-growth technology projects.
Bookline already serves more than 1,700 clients across key European and Latin American markets. With this new injection of capital, the company will accelerate its international growth, focusing on strategic European markets such as the United Kingdom, Italy, France, and Portugal, as well as in Latin America, where Mexico, Colombia, and Chile are top priorities.
“With this funding round, we want to consolidate Bookline as the strategic partner of reference for hotels, restaurants, and mobility companies in Europe and Latin America. Our goal is to continue innovating to help our clients improve their profitability and leverage the opportunities that come from direct customer interaction,” said Joan Salvatella, founder of Bookline.
“Our commitment to Bookline lies in the combination of two factors we value especially: distinctive artificial intelligence technology and its direct application in a traditional sector with significant economic impact such as hospitality. At ICF, we firmly believe that Bookline can become another international success story emerging from the Catalan ecosystem, which we continue to strongly and consistently support,” highlighted Emilio Gómez, Director of the Venture Capital division at ICF.
“At Sabadell Venture Capital, we support Bookline as a disruptive technological solution, validated by reference clients, that substantially improves the operations of restaurants and hotels while enhancing the customer experience,” said Raúl Rodríguez, Deputy General Manager of Banco Sabadell and Managing Director of BS Capital. He added, “We firmly believe in the potential of conversational AI to transform under-digitized sectors such as hospitality.”
“At Faraday Venture Partners, we are very proud to accompany Bookline in this new stage of growth. We have witnessed firsthand the strength and cohesion of its team in such a demanding digital environment as hospitality. Their ability to combine technological talent with a clear business vision makes them a truly distinctive player, capable of transforming how restaurants engage with their customers,” added Olimpia Carabel, Investment Manager at Faraday.
In addition to international expansion, the funds will be allocated to talent acquisition and technological development, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence applied to hospitality—particularly in reinventing telephone reservation management and enhancing the relationship between businesses and their customers.
In 2024, Bookline managed more than €100 million in restaurant telephone reservations and over €350 million in hotel booking requests, supported by a robust ecosystem of integrations with the industry’s leading software and booking engines.
Ángel Luis Díez, Chief Marketing Officer at the restaurant chain SIBUYA, stated that Bookline has marked a turning point in their reservation management. “The main improvement has been the fluidity in handling phone bookings. Having an automated system that integrates with our platform, serves customers in real time without human intervention, and assigns tables directly is a huge step forward for us.” He also highlighted the double benefit: “It saves time for customers and, at the same time, for us, since we no longer have to be tied to the phone and can rely on an additional, automated source of reservations that is highly valuable.”
