Spain's Sepiia launches € 1.9M financing round to boost its smart fashion commitment

Sepiia, the Spanish smart fashion brand specialising in highly durability garments that do not wrinkle or stain, has raised a financing round worth € 1.9 million. However, what is special about this round is that 90% of the funds raised are from investors such as Fondo Bolsa Social or Faraday Venture Partners, while the remaining 10% has just been opened to the general public.

This crowdfunding action has been running since yesterday through the crowdfunding platform Bolsa Social and it will be possible to join in, with a minimum investment of € 1,125, until 23 April. Their goal is to raise between € 200,000 and € 400,000. Something that it seems they are going to achieve easily, as they have already raised more than € 172,000.

Those who decide to invest in Sepiia will do so "in good company", i.e. they will invest together with other investors and will all be together under one investment vehicle. In addition, they will acquire shares in the company.

Opening of new physical stores and increased investment in technological development

"In the coming months, we will continue to bring our product closer to our customers, opening new physical points of sale, as well as multi-brand spaces, and we will also continue to develop new technologies and innovative garments. We already have the support of numerous investors, accelerators, laboratories and consultancies, and we only need you to take Sepiia to the next level. Now, more than ever, the change is in your hands". Federico Sainz de Robles, CEO and founder of Sepiia, explains in a video published by the brand to publicise the initiative and encourage the public to join in.

Sepiia's plans also include taking advantage of this momentum and its development to scale up to a turnover of € 6 million by 2023, a figure that would be four times the amount invoiced in 2022 (€ 1.5 million).

It is worth noting that the brand has started the year on very good footing, and not only because of this round, but also because of their participation as speakers in NEXT CrossBorder, where they left some very interesting statements.
